The inspector informs Meher, "Your brother is dead, and you killed him." Meher protests, refusing to accept her brother's death, insisting he's fine. She points to Jagga and asserts, "See there, he's okay." Despite her protests, they take Meher away in the van.
Meanwhile, Amrita prepares for Yuvi's birthday, beaming with joy. Yuvi mentions Meher's request for her to dress up like a bride in red, Sarab's favorite color.
Sarab, on his way, hears the shocking news on the radio about Jagga's murder, but he doesn't catch who is accused.
In the interrogation room, the inspector offers Meher water and accuses her of killing her brother. Desperate, Meher asks for permission to make a phone call. She tries calling Jagga, but his phone is in the inspector's possession.
At the party venue, everyone gathers, eager for Yuvi's celebration. Yuvi insists on waiting for his father to cut the cake and open gifts. Kulwant attempts to call Jagga.
Suddenly, Meher screams, insisting her brother is alive and threatening retribution when he finds out she's been taken away. An ambulance arrives, and amid the chaos, Jagga's body is brought out, shocking everyone.
Yuvi, in disbelief, pleads for his father to wake up, while Amrita and others try to console him. Sarab arrives, shocked, demanding to know who killed Jagga.
Kulwant, unable to accept her son's death, locks herself in her room, wailing in anguish. Rana and Bitu try to comfort her, while the rest of the family mourns. Finally, Kulwant emerges, dressed in black, a symbol of mourning and grief.

Sarab refutes the claim, insisting Meher loved Jagga and that it's a misunderstanding. Bitu adds that Meher regarded Jagga as her father, willing to sacrifice her life for him.
The inspector presents a photo purportedly showing Meher holding a knife, committing the crime. Sarab protests, expressing disbelief, and vows to go to the police station to find Meher.
At the police station, the inspector inquires about any altercations between Meher and Jagga. Bitu and Rana mention a recent argument over property matters.
Meher enters in handcuffs, smiling at Sarab. She dismisses the accusations, insisting Jagga is alive and well, and urges them to find him. Sarab gently breaks the news of Jagga's demise to Meher, who vehemently denies it. Meanwhile, Yuvi cries as Kulwant comforts him, while Amrita, shattered, recalls Jagga's words about their life together.
Refusing to accept Jagga's death, Meher accuses the others of lying and insists nothing happened to him. Sarab embraces her, comforting her through tears, promising to get her out of this predicament.
