Choti Sarrdaarni Thursday, September 20, 2023 Episode Summary:
The following morning, Kulwant questions Amrita about the pakoras and asks for whom they are being prepared. Amrita replies that they are for Jitto's parents, who have arrived. Jitto shows respect by touching Kulwant's feet and urges her to meet them.
Kulwant, however, expresses her displeasure, stating that they only deserve criticism. She sarcastically asks if there's a party happening or if Jitto's father is getting married. Jitto's mother clarifies that they are there to congratulate Meher on her return. Kulwant dismisses them, and Bitu becomes infuriated, breaking things in anger.
Shortly after, the police arrive, and Param asks Rovi if he'd like to play "thief police." Rovi declines, citing that he doesn't feel well. Meher invites Param to eat, but Harleen suggests that they cooperate with the police investigation.
The inspector questions Rovi about whether he has seen any of the thugs, and Rovi denies any knowledge. Sarab informs them that all the culprits have been arrested, and the inspector mentions that they will soon determine who these individuals were in contact with. Dolly mentions getting tests done to expose the truth to Kulwant, who had accused Sarab. Jolly questions Rovi's nervousness.
In another scene, Bitu expresses his desire for his share and announces that he can't continue living there. Kulwant inquires about this share, and Bitu explains that, as per the lawyer, there will be four shares: his, Rana's, Jagga's, and Kulwant's. Amrita is shocked by this revelation, and Yuvi expresses his support for Jitto Chachi, promising to protect her.
Meher advises Param to wear a sweater, but he feels hot and hesitates. Meher insists, worrying he might get sick, and Param eventually complies. She expresses her love for him, and he leaves with his bag. Sarab observes them and reflects on how Meher's life revolves around Param.
Sarab enters Meher's room, where she has just showered. He slips, and Meher catches him. She apologizes, and Sarab mentions that they'll be leaving in 10 minutes. Meher presses him for an answer to her question from the previous night, when he said that silence often means yes. She asks what his silence means, and Sarab cryptically responds that she'll get all her answers soon.
Meher inquires, "Where are we headed?" Sarab responds, "To get you the answers you seek. In ten minutes." Meanwhile, Rovi contacts his boss, expressing his fear of being discovered, which could result in losing everything.
The boss assures him that he'll take care of any potential threats and advises Rovi not to worry. Rovi mentions that he might reveal everyone's names if he gets arrested, but the boss remains confident that nothing will happen.
Sarab and Meher arrive outside a hospital, leaving Meher puzzled about their destination. Sarab explains that they're there for her check-up to ensure the baby's well-being. Meher insists she's fine, but Sarab emphasizes the importance of monitoring the baby's health.
When asked her name by a nurse, Meher hesitates to provide the father's name until Sarab steps in and confidently states, "Sarabjeet Singh Gill." Meher is taken aback. Inside the hospital, they observe a father with his sons, and Sarab remarks that a child needs both parents together. He acknowledges that he couldn't provide Param with the mother's love he deserved but promises that this child will have a father's name and love. Meher smiles through tears, accepting his offer. They proceed for a test.
In the sonography room, Meher stumbles, prompting Sarab to caution her to be careful. Meher playfully asks why he's more nervous than her and advises him to relax. The nurse offers them water, which they share. During the sonography, they both gaze at their child on the monitor, reminiscent of how Param looked in his early days.
The nurse advises them to take care of the child together and emphasizes the importance of a happy environment for the baby's well-being. Sarab and Meher silently resolve to fight for their child's happiness.
In another scene, Yuvi enjoys samosas, and Jitto quizzes him on the date of India's independence. Bitu requests Jitto to sign some papers related to a case he filed against Kulwant to claim his share of the family wealth.
Jitto refuses, stating that she won't allow the family to be divided. Bitu accuses her of wanting to live like a servant, but Yuvi defends Jitto, and she appreciates his support. The family dynamics become tense.
Back at home, Rovi suggests to Harleen that they should consider moving to Canada for business. Khushi enters and is asked about Param's whereabouts, but she reveals that he's out with Sarab and Meher.
Meher, Sarab, and Param are at a park, where the other children exclude Param from their play. Meher and Sarab consider how to tell Param about the upcoming addition to the family. Param expresses his desire to play with them, prompting Meher to call Khushi for support.
She encourages Param, highlighting the joys of having siblings and hinting at the possibility of him having one. Param enthusiastically expresses his wish for a sibling as well.
