Choti Sardarni Written Update for Thursday, July 13th, 2023.
Dolly speculates that someone must be requesting Meher. Sarab arrives and emphasizes that changing surnames doesn't alter anything. He asserts that Meher's name change after marriage didn't change her essence. Her style and actions define her, not her name. Meher doesn't need to change her name to become a Sardarni. Harleen admires Sarab for being a wonderful husband to Meher. Harleen informs them that their in-laws have arranged dinner for that night.
Sarab says he has some work to attend to and has to leave. Everyone gathers at Kulwant's house. Amrita wonders why Meher didn't come. Harleen replies that Meher couldn't make it because Param had to go to school. Dolly questions if Meher didn't inform them. Rana adds that Meher rarely calls the house. Dolly expresses surprise that Meher doesn't talk to her parents and remarks that she has never seen Meher talk to them.
Kulwant defends Meher, saying that she doesn't engage in showmanship and usually calls her from her room. Dolly whispers to Kulwant about a special revelation she knows, possibly related to Manav's murder. She contemplates whether to share it now or after the pooja. Kulwant suspects Dolly might create drama by revealing the information at the moment. Sarab puts Param to sleep. In his sleep, Param pleads, "Never leave me, Mama." Sarab corrects him, saying he is his Papa. Param insists on going to his mom and promises to sleep at the door if she opens it. Meher opens the door against Sarab's advice, but Sarab reminds her of her promise.
Param begs Meher to let him sleep with her, but Meher insists he goes to his room. She threatens to slap him if he doesn't comply. Param cries, and Meher sternly tells him to go to his room. Param declares that he will never come to her again. Meher locks the door, and Param continues to express his anger towards her. Sarab carries Param away while Meher is left in tears, recalling his hurtful words. Param says he heard everything Meher said, including eating tinday and taking a shower. He criticizes Meher and calls her "bad." Sarab tries to console Param, while Meher cries.
Param falls asleep with Sarab. Dolly informs Rovi that Kulwant appears extremely worried, indicating that something is wrong. Meher's absence and Kulwant's distress raise their concerns. Harleen suggests that Meher didn't come because Sarab is her priority. Rovi asks what they discovered about Meher, and Harleen shows them her phone. Sarab enters Meher's room and grabs the first aid kit. Meher anxiously asks if Param is okay and pleads to check on him. Param has a high fever. Meher blames herself for his condition.
Sarab calls the doctor while Param laments his mistake and questions why Meher scolded him. Meher administers medicine to Param, who pleads with her not to leave him. Param calls her "Meher mama," and Sarab corrects him, saying she is his mother. Meher cries as Sarab covers her with a blanket. Sarab attempts to contact a doctor but is unsuccessful. Meher grabs the medicine, and Sarab asks her to stop, questioning who Meher is.
Meher responds that she is no one, and the doctor informs Sarab that she is giving the right medicine. Meher remarks that she already knew that and that they should have given the medicine earlier. Sarab asserts his ability to take care of his son without Meher's help. Meher spots a car and pleads with Sarab not to leave her. She admits that she might act foolishly again but declares her love for him. Meher cries while Sarab reads a card.
Meher expresses her reluctance to continue their current situation, and Sarab asserts that they are like the beach and waves—never meant to stay together. Param apologizes to Meher and begs her not to leave him alone or fight with him. Kulwant calls Meher, and Dolly interrupts their conversation. Dolly comments on Meher's worried appearance and the "desi" style of her room. Kulwant asks what happened, and Dolly suggests it might be a guilty conscience.
Kulwant admits that Meher made a mistake, and Dolly provocatively asks, "Why did you kill?" Kulwant denies any involvement, and Harleen tries to defuse the situation. Dolly insists on providing proof and hands her phone to Kulwant, shocking her. A doctor advises Sarab to keep monitoring Param's temperature and asks about Meher. Sarab reveals that Meher is his wife, surprising the doctor. The doctor congratulates Sarab on his marriage and expresses happiness for him.
Kulwant laughs and acknowledges that someone pushed her, but Dolly accuses her of causing her fractured arm. Harleen suggests it might be a misunderstanding, while Rana mentions their fear that Dolly might have learned something significant. Dolly inquires about the undisclosed information, mentioning that there is something they are hiding. The doctor praises Meher, calling her a genius, and expresses his delight in having a wife like her. He asks if their marriage was a love marriage.
Sarab informs the doctor about Param's illness. Sarab assumes Meher's silence is due to their fight and assures the doctor that Meher will handle both Param and him. Meher requests to see Param, and Sarab comments on his high temperature. Sarab wonders what to do, and Meher suggests using cold strips. Sarab accidentally drops the bowl, but Param continues to sleep.
Meher promises Param that she will never leave him and takes care of him. Sarab thanks God that Param is sleeping, or else he would have believed Meher's words. Meher notices red spots on Param and realizes it's chickenpox. Sarab dismisses her knowledge, but when he calls his friend, he learns that Meher was right.
