Rakesh’s family checks horoscopes with Parineet’s family, and the priest declares them a good match and fixes the wedding date. Alavat warns anyone against opposing the marriage. The family celebrates the match, and Rakesh is even asked to feed sweets to Parineet, which upsets Sanju. Rakesh forces Parineet to accept the sweets, causing her distress.
Later, Sanju confronts Parineet about why she is allowing all this to happen, but she insists she has no control over the situation. Neeti pushes Parineet to participate in wedding rituals (rasam), while Sanju reacts angrily to the developments. The family proceeds with engagement preparations, believing the rituals are necessary for the safety of Parineet and her unborn child.
