Harleen informs Sarab that their in-laws have arranged a dinner for that evening, but Sarab says he has some work to attend to.
Everyone gathers at Kulwant's house, and Amrita asks why Meher didn't come. Harleen replies that Meher didn't come because Param had to go to school. Dolly questions if Meher didn't inform them, and Rana adds that Meher rarely contacts them. Dolly further comments that Meher doesn't seem to have a good relationship with her parents. Kulwant defends Meher, stating that she doesn't like to show off and often calls her from her room. Dolly then reveals that she knows something important, leaving Kulwant shocked.
Dolly contemplates whether to disclose the information she knows before or after the religious ceremony. Kulwant informs Amrita that Dolly has found out about Manav's murder and predicts that she will create a scene.
Sarab puts Param to sleep, but in his sleep, Param calls out to his mother, expressing his fear of being left alone. Sarab reassures Param that he is his father and promises to make him sleep. However, Param runs out of the room, and Meher reminisces about her moments with him. Sarab calls Meher and tells her not to open the door, but Param knocks and pleads with Meher to let him sleep with her. Meher opens the door against Sarab's wishes, and Sarab reminds her of the promise she made.
Param asks Meher to put him to sleep, but Meher refuses and asks him to go back to his room. Param becomes upset and accuses Meher of being bad, saying he will never come to her again. Meher is devastated and locks the door, while Param continues to express his anger towards her. Sarab carries Param away, and Meher comes out crying. Param vows to never play with Meher again, and Meher is filled with sorrow, recalling his hurtful words.
Param reveals that he heard everything Meher said, including eating tinday (a vegetable) and taking a shower, and he deems her as bad. Sarab tries to calm Param down, assuring him that he has his father by his side. Meher cries, and Param falls asleep with Sarab.
Dolly shares her concern with Rovi, expressing worry about Kulwant's distress. Meher's absence is also discussed, with Harleen suggesting that Meher didn't come because Sarab is her priority. Rovi asks for any information they have found about Meher, and she shows them something on her phone.
Sarab enters Param's room to get the first aid kit, and Meher asks about Param's well-being. Sarab informs her that Param has a high fever, and Meher blames herself. Sarab calls the doctor while Param questions why Meher scolded him. Meher gives him medicine and reassures him that she will never leave him. Sarab notes that Param is cold, but Meher insists he needs water. Meher takes care of Param while Sarab covers her with a blanket.
Sarab contacts his friend for a doctor's help, but they receive no response. Meher reaches for the medicine, but Sarab stops her and questions who Meher is. Meher replies that she is nobody. The doctor confirms that Meher is giving the correct medicine. Meher expresses her knowledge and regrets not giving it earlier. Sarab asserts that he can take care of his son without her.
Meher notices a car and pleads with Sarab not to leave her, confessing her love for him. Meher cries, and Sarab reads a card. Meher decides she won't continue with this behavior, and Sarab states that he cares about his son. Meher admits she can't be selfish anymore. Sarab declares that they are like the beach and waves, not meant to be together. Meher recalls Param's plea, apologizing and requesting her not to fight with him again.
